Do I really need a registered & records office?
Yes — every BC company must keep both at a BC address. The only question is whether it's your home (public, and it moves when you do), a law firm's binder, or Minuted.
My company is federal (Corporations Canada). Can you act for us?
Yes. Federal companies need a registered office in the province named in their articles, and two annual filings instead of one — the Corporations Canada annual return and the BC extraprovincial report. We track and file both on either plan. Full Compliance is built for federal companies: the BC extraprovincial registration is included (on Records Office it is $99 plus tax), with the $350 government fee at cost.
Will this really cost less than my law firm?
Almost always. Firms typically charge about $300 a year plus disbursements, with the annual report and resolutions billed on top. Minuted includes them, and the switch is free.
What happens when I switch?
We prepare the change-of-office filing, you approve it, we file it — usually within two business days. Then we collect your records from your old provider, which takes as long as they take; the import is free.
My minute book is empty — or I've never had one.
You're in the majority. Minute Book Rescue rebuilds what should exist for a flat $299, with a free health check first so you know exactly what's missing before paying anything.
Do you incorporate my company?
No — and you don't need us to. You or your accountant incorporate online with BC Registries (or Corporations Canada) in about 20 minutes. Sign up first and we send you the exact address to enter as registered and records office, so Minuted is your office from day one. We don't reserve names either.
Who can see my transparency register?
Under the Act as it stands, nobody outside the company except those with a statutory right of inspection (for example, certain regulators). It is kept at our records office, never on the public registry, and it is not shown in the public signup form. BC has legislated a public version that is not yet in force; when it takes effect we file it for you.
Can I leave?
Any time. There is no exit fee, we give you a complete electronic copy of your minute book at no charge, and we cooperate with the change-of-office filing to your new provider.
