One email, about 30 days before your due date. Nothing else.
Under the Business Corporations Act, a BC company must file an annual report within two months after each anniversary of its incorporation (s. 51), starting the year after it was incorporated. A company incorporated on 12 August has its window open on 12 August and close on 12 October, every year. A federal or other extraprovincial corporation registered in BC files within two months after the anniversary of its BC registration date (s. 380). The government fee is $43.39.
Active does not mean filed. The public register shows whether a company exists, not whether this year's report went in. If your window has already closed and you don't remember filing, check your BC Registries account or ask us — two missed reports in a row and the Registrar can dissolve the company.
Minuted becomes your registered & records office, puts your anniversary in our tracker, and files the annual report every year — you get one yes-or-no message before each filing. Digital minute book included.
Everything the law requires, set up and kept.

Within two months after each anniversary of incorporation, starting the year after the company was incorporated. Incorporated 12 August? Your window is 12 August to 12 October every year. Extraprovincially registered corporations count from their BC registration date instead.
The company exists on the BC register and has not been dissolved, struck off or amalgamated. It does not tell you whether the current annual report has been filed — the register doesn't publish that.
It is no longer on the active register — usually dissolved for missed annual reports, voluntarily dissolved, or amalgamated. A dissolved BC company can usually be restored; we do it for $699 flat plus government fees.
From OrgBook BC, the Province's public registry, which BC Registries keeps up to date. The lookup runs from your browser directly to OrgBook. We store nothing unless you ask for a reminder, in which case we keep your email and the due date and nothing else. The incorporation date shown is the registry's recorded date converted to Pacific time — confirm it against your Certificate of Incorporation.
No. The annual report goes to BC Registries. The T2 corporate tax return goes to the CRA. You need both every year.
If it is registered extraprovincially in BC, yes — the BC annual report is due within two months after the anniversary of the BC registration. On top of that, Corporations Canada requires an annual return within 60 days after the anniversary of federal incorporation, with the individuals-with-significant-control information. If your federal company does business in BC and isn't registered here yet, see federal corporations in BC.
